Free ESOL Classes at Cardiff Library as part of Refugee Week Wales 2013

As part of Refugee Week Wales 2013, Cardiff Central Library and Cardiff Metropolitan University are providing free ESOL classes. The classes are aimed at those who have already covered the basics of English and want to get to grips with the ‘rules’ of English. The sessions aim to be fun and inclusive and are open to all.
Also at Cardiff Central Library will be a seminar by the Parliamentary Outreach Service. The seminar will provide information and training on the works, processes and relevance ofParliament including how members of the public and organisations can engage with these processes. Seminar will feature an introduction to Parliament, contacting MPs and Lords, how Bills progress through Parliament, Parliamentary Questions, Select Committee inquiries and using the Parliamentary website to track particular subjects.

ESOL classes to take place: Tuesday, 18th June. 10 am – 12 pm & Wednesday, 19th June. 10am – 12pm.

Refugee Week Wales 2013 Programme Update

The programme for Refugee Week Wales 2013 has been updated to include even more events! The response this year has been tremendous and yet more people are taking part by organising events.

Unfortunately due to a last minute cancellation the performance of Patrick Jones’ “Are You Surprised My Blood is the Same Colour As Yours?” at the Ebbw Vale Institute will not be going ahead.
