A big thank you to all who took part in Refugee Week Wales 2013!  Refugee Week Wales was celebrated at over 20 different events this year by a broad spectrum of participants. If you attended one of the events: Thank You and see you next year!

Free ESOL Classes at Cardiff Library as part of Refugee Week Wales 2013

As part of Refugee Week Wales 2013, Cardiff Central Library and Cardiff Metropolitan University are providing free ESOL classes. The classes are aimed at those who have already covered the basics of English and want to get to grips with the ‘rules’ of English. The sessions aim to be fun and inclusive and are open to all.

 

Also at Cardiff Central Library will be a seminar by the Parliamentary Outreach Service. The seminar will provide information and training on the works, processes and relevance ofParliament including how members of the public and organisations can engage with these processes. Seminar will feature an introduction to Parliament, contacting MPs and Lords, how Bills progress through Parliament, Parliamentary Questions, Select Committee inquiries and using the Parliamentary website to track particular subjects.

ESOL classes to take place: Tuesday, 18th June. 10 am – 12 pm & Wednesday, 19th June. 10am – 12pm.

Parliamentary Outreach seminar to take place: Tuesday, 18th June. 12pm & 1pm
