Policy Matters

The Welsh Refugee Council believes that the ability to communicate helps asylum seekers and refugees to win the trust of local people, contribute to community life and to live independently without relying on expensive interpreters and translators.  Local authorities should be encouraged to provide access to a range of free language classes in both Welsh and English.
